A woman filed for an emergency protective order against Rajon Rondo on Friday, alleging the veteran NBA point guard pulled a gun on her and threatened to kill her in an altercation, according to multiple reports. The NBA released a statement acknowledging the league was looking into the matter.

“We are aware of the report and are in the process of gathering more information,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said.

According to reports, the order was granted in Louisville, Ky., on Friday. Rondo must stay at least 500 feet away from the woman and children who were present during the altercation. He must also temporarily surrender any firearms to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Rondo, who will be an unrestricted free agent next season, has played 19 seasons in the NBA. The four-time All-Star and two-time champion most recently played for Cleveland, averaging 4.8 points and 4.4 assists a contest.
