JENNIFER Aniston's lawyers have sprung into action after nude pictures of the star from the movie The Break Up appeared on the internet, according to US reports.

The pictures originated from outtakes from Aniston's strategically-covered nude scene in The Break Up, in which her character walks through the house naked in a bid to tease her live-in ex-boyfriend, played by real-life ex-beau Vince Vaughn.

The former Friends star denied using a body double for the risque scene, telling reporters: "No, I definitely didn't.

"The problem is because the way it was shot, it was so specifically me.

"They wanted to make it a tricky camera so you saw the face and then you go to the back.

"It was hard to cut, unless you did it."

Los Angeles law firm Lavely & Singer, who also represent stars including Colin Farrell, have been contacting publications who might be interested in publishing "nude or partially nude" photos of the popular actress, after the shots appeared on the internet, apparently scanned from the French magazine Choc.

Having teamed up with NBC Universal, the film company behind The Break Up, the lawyers' letter urges publishers to return any unauthorised shots to NBC Universal.
